Guys, just wanted to let you know that I'm back from the Boundry Waters in Minnesota and we had the time of our lifes. If you want to catch a BUNCH of big fish in the wilderness this is the trip for you. We averaged 20-50 fish per person per day and this was with bluebird weather every day. We were told that on overcast and rainy days you did even better because the fish come out of the deep water. The smallies were in 30-40 feet of water most of the time with the smaller 1-2 lb fish being shallower. My canoe partner and I did alot of pike fishing since we hadn't caught them before. We literally caught 10-15 each morning on buzz baits before breakfast each morning on buzz baits right out the front door of camp.
First morning, waiting for fog to burn off so we can get across lake Saganaga
