Anyone noticed if Nolin, Rough, or Barren has started turning over yet. I'm hoping it's here and gone by Oct.9 because I start my vacation that week and I plan on fishing about every day. Anyone have any info???

About 3-4 weeks ago I believe Barren started turning over but it was not a fast turnover just slow. Usually when you have a drastic drop in the temperature is when you get a hard turnover and that is hard on the fishing. I was catching fish that was in the thermocline. They was not real deep but when the thermocline broke the fish moved deeper because that allowed them to. Probably gave them a little more oxygen at the deeper depths. You could then and probably now see a brown tint or stain to the water but it is not dingy just stained. This in in the area of the Narrows Marina. Other areas may have not started yet, or may have done finished. I do know up in the creeks, that they have some dingy to muddy water due to all the rains. Hope this helps.

Drove by Nolin today. The courtesy docks are still underwater from the raised lake level from the rain.
The water looked very clear and nice. No mucky smell. Talked to a few shore fishermen who were pulling in some small bass.
I hope this helps.
Tight lines and God Bless
