I've got five of them.
5'UL Spinning - Love it.
6'M Spinning - Great creek smallmouth rod, light, sensitive.
7'M Spinning - Not a fan. It's sensitive, but it's too big, feels like it weighs a ton.
6'M Casting - Run a Curado 100B on it and throw the fire out of it in the creeks. Love this rig.
6'6M Casting - Good little all purpose setup.
these are the premier models?
David, thats all I use, I got 6 of them. All premiers, I love the sensitivty, cant really fish with anything else. Granted if I had the cheese I would either buy the avid seriers or go all the way with Loomis because they are simply lighter, better rods. But if I can buy a setup (rod and reel) that I love, will last for more than 5 years, which mine have, for the price of a rod alone. I will buy the setup everytime. I think you will like them. The 6'6" medium action is a GREAT all around rod. I have a 7' medium that is a great CB rod, a 7' MH that is good for c-rig, and just about anything else. Then I have a rod that was a 7' and nate rolled the tip up in the window and now its a 6'9-10" and its the only rod I will flip with. Love them all
hey i found a website that has some hellacious buys if you want some more them kyle
also how many eyes do the 6'6 and 7' have?
This Summer I purchased a St Croix rod that's 5 ft long and ultra light. I put a Pflueger Triton GX under spin reel on it with 2 lb test stren line. This thing casts better than any other ultra light outfit that I have owned for the last 25 years.
Not sure if it's due to the 2lb test fishing line, the reel or the rod or all three or just a couple of them in combination but the outfit is sweet.
Knock on wood but I hardly ever get any line twists anymore. You know how when you cast out 50ft and start to reel in the line and get a loop and then reel more line over the loop so that the next time you cast the loop tangles up and takes line off the reel when it's not suppose to? Then you have to cut all that line off and retie the baits back on. After two loops you don't have enough line to fill the spool and then things get progressively worse. So far that has not happened to me this year with this rod and reel combinations.
A guys fishing over on Loon Pit this summer showed me this outfit and I was impressed with how far he could cast a small 1/16oz jig. He was casting out almost all the way across the small lagoon on the West side of the North Gravel Parking lot at Loon Pit in Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area near Evansville, IN.
Most of my other rods are all graphite, so they are not cheap rods.
I do think that the Pflueger reel makes a big difference as my other ultralight reels are pretty inexpensive shakespeare reels that I got for less than 20 bucks. And they don't have instant antireverse and as many stainless steel ball bearings as the new Pflueger Reel has.

I have used the St. Croix Premier Rods for years now and they are great. I may have some rods I am thinking of selling if you are interested in trying them. They are used and in good shape.
