How long should it take for water to come out the pilot hole after starting engine? I replaced my water pump and while testing with the muffs it took 7 seconds to start shooting water. After that it shot a good hard stream. Thanks for replies.

It takes a minute or two sometimes for the system to fill with water then it should pee steady

That's about right. It only shoots out water once it hits a certain tempature, so it could be 5 seconds or 1 minute.

I always thought it was the time it took to fill the whole system, thanks for the info on the temp. I know I did not know that... and probably several others didn't either.
