Hmmm. That's interesting about Fryman's. I would gladly pay for an off-season gate key. In my opinion, $75-100 is steep, but it's a private deal and it's his decision. I'll pay it if that's what it takes to fish there in the "off season"...(C'mon, we all know that there aint no stinkin "off season" over there. LOL) I totally understand that he can't be there 7 days a week for a couple boats per day in the winter at five bucks a pop. (I'm sure there are plenty of days in the winter with no boats at all.)

Improvements to the campground and bait/tackle/snacks are nice, but that will most definitely cause things to be run more like a business now...I'm all for capitalism and the man's ability to make a living from his property, but the business will need traffic to survive and pay for the goodies...we'll see increased fishing pressure as more and more folks come to see the place as it gets spiffed up. It's a catch 22, but the best thing bass fishermen can do is catch'em and release'em.
