I usually just watch these post from the shadows. This is an important subject and I would like to put my two cents in.I live out of state and fish the river regularly. I always bring several people with me and we do our part for the local economy(we wait to buy supplies until we get to burkesville).I mostly target trophy size fish and this river is one of the only places they may still be found in any numbers. It is an awesome fishery and needs to be preserved.I do not want to see this river become another chattahoochie. I feel that something needs to change. Change is constant and since I started fishing the river I have noticed a huge increase in fisherman and a decrease in quality fish. It is sad but the rights of the many are usually hindered by a few bad apples and the ignorant. I am no expert and do not have all the answers. I am glad to see that people are talking about the subject. If you want to see where the cumberland is headed I will be glad to host you on my home river the hooch.
