I thought this was already a done deal. I have seen all over where stores have already posted new prices for 2007. The KDFW has it posted on its website too.

KDFW is meeting today to discuss a possible fairly significent hike in hunting and fishing licenses. I'm not griping only informing to look out next year, may be costing us all a little more. Combo fees could go from 22.50 where they are now to 30.00 dollars if it passes.

prices are going up... I work at a store that sells hunting and fishing licenses and several months ago we got a list of the new prices for next year.... so the price will be going up its already a done deal...
Thats what I thought!!
Non Resident went from $35 to $50 x(
Kentucky trying to chase non-residents away. 50 bucks seems a little out of line.

Nahhhhh, I don't think they are trying to run anyone off. Just wanting to make few bucks on all those 200 plus tourneys going on. Remember, as many have said, those are pros fishing those..LOL.. so their sponsors can afford it. LOL
I ended up staying away from KY and Barkley for several weeks because of all the super T's. Besides, when we can own a $30 G boat, same cost or higher tow vehicle, long travel with fuel prices what they are, and probably overnights at the lake, and you figure your license is only the cost of one overnight at a hotel.... it is still affordable.

Ok....the cost of a non-resident license for a Kentucky license does sound a little high in my opinion. I'm from Kentucky so I'm not as concerned about it. But look at it this way, the money is going to a good cause.
Does anyone here know what other states charge for non-resident fishing licenses? Indiana...Tennessee???
As one who greatly favors Norris over Cumberland, I know this one all too well.
Three day, $33.50, ten day $50, annual something like $80 or so I think
I have been paying $50 for a non res Wisconsin License for years and I believe my annual Canadian is $64. Still a bargin when compared to the cost of other entertainment such as going to a movie or a ball game.
