Has anyone had any luck for sauger, walleye, hybrids, white bass and Crappie on the Ohio River lately. I know water temps are getting close. The River has been up and muddy up near Cincy. Anyone fish Meldahl, Markland, Greenup lately?
Thanks,
Bassky;)

Smallmouth anglers have had success in the Marietta area fishing in smaller pools along the river. Smallmouth bass have been hitting crank baits, spinner baits and buzz baits cast up river and into slight current. Sauger and hybrid striped bass are being caught on big creek chubs or any deep-diving bait that resemble minnows. Try fishing along lock walls and rip-rap. GL TO YOU
I have had good luck starting in mid 50's and lower. i just haven't been on the river in about a month.

Fished open tourny out of Tanners Sunday....too bad it was'nt striper-white bass tourn.Small stripers biting on cranks in creek mouths and the pit. Heard of a few sauger caught the same way in mouths. Do'nt know about below Markland.I imagine the river is out this week with the rain we had it was already pretty off colored.
How did you do in the tournament? Was this the 2 day tournament, Tanners Creek day 1 and Brookville, day 2? I know the rain is going to keep me off the river until next week some time.
Thanks for the reply.
