    RE: What's a fair price

    Pastorbass,

There's a couple of different takes on this. As a seller, the fairest price, is the most you can get for it, and fittingly, as the buyer, the fairest is the least you can get for it.

If the guy is a friend, the fairest price is one that you are both happy with. In fact, that is the definition of any good deal. It's a price where both parties are happy with the price. It doesn't matter if you can get more for the TM, if you are happy with the price and your friend is happy, what more is there? Say you can get more for the trolling motor, but by trying to get the higher price, and you lose a friend... what then? Remember that spinnerbait holder I sold you? I could have gotten a much higher price if I wanted, but I didn't. Do the right thing, and you will both be happy.

    Good luck.

    Tight lines and God Bless

    Danny

Thanks, for the info - he's a good friend and goes to the church where I pastor - I'm not out to make money. Both parties have no idea what a fair price is.

Danny, no offense but do you really think a pastor needs an ethics lesson? He just wants to know what the darn thing is worth, I'd tell him if I knew but I don't. I'm thinking brand new those babies are probably 2 or 3 hundred dollars, but I don't have a clue. Pastor 75 to hundred dollars is probably about right. :)

    RE: What's a fair price

    Mark,

No offense taken, but a clear message I need to work on my wordsmithing!! LOL. Wasn't trying to give an ethics response, more of a selling response, since that was my profession for many years.

Pastor, I apologize if, and apparently I did, come across in a manner I did not intend.

Thanks for the heads up Mark.

    Tight lines and God Bless
