BANDITS BAIT SHOP ON HWY 92 JAMESTOWN

Talked with Bandit duing my trip 9-12 Oct 06 (yes Jim, this year).

He was in the process of building his new bait shop, right by his house, that is right by what used to be his old motel, bait shop, and restaurant. The folks that bought Bandits, renamed it Anchor Inn, removed the bait shop, and added in a quick mart grocery store.

So if headed to Jamestown, watch for Bandit's new bait shop. He always treated me good, always had great advice on the fishing patterns and techniques that were working, always sold me primo bait that was alive and frisky, sometimes has shad, always shiners, and sometimes suckers.

DISCLAIMER: I DON'T WORK THERE AND HAVE NO $$ AFILLIATION WITH BANDIT. I PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION AS A PUBLIC SERVICE, AND BECAUSE THIS GUY AND HIS BUSINESS WAS ALWAYS GOOD TO ME.

Don't know for sure, he had the building up, power to it, tanks in place, and was working trim and details plus some minor plumbing. I'll find out and post for all.

You're right, Dennis is a Great guy.Our club has stayed at the Motel several times in the past few years for our Classic and a finer host you will not find.I have heard through the grapevine that he may be considering building some cabins????? I will stop and see him when I'm down there next week and see whats in the works.
I also understand that the motel rates have gone from 30 a nite to $60,thats quite a jump for what I understand has been no renovations.I dont mean any harm to the new owners,it just seemed like quite a hike.JMO

    Same house, same number.

Last time that I talked to him, he was talking about having a couple of cabins. Probably spring or summer before that gets completed. Thought the bait tanks would have been set up by now. Guess a delay?
