By numerous sources, including at least two anglers fishing today's Lake of the Ozarks FLW Series, that a wreck occurred resulting in injury. Note that no details have been confirmed, but all sources reported that pro Tim Horton and his co-angler were thrown from Horton's boat during day 1 of competition. The co-angler is believed to be Leon Williams of Fairdale, Ky.
Reportedly, the co-angler suffered a spinal injury and was airlifted to a St. Louis, Mo. hospital for surgery. The extent of the injury in unknown. Horton is reported to be okay, and on his way to St. Louis.
Good News: Update on FLW website says 2 damaged lower back vertebrae, but no paralysis.
it also said that tim horton dropped out fo the tourney to go and be with williams until his family got there. that speaks volumes on what kind of guy he is. i'm now a tim horton fan, bigtime!
I'm sending a card to the Williams family Tuesday next week. Anyone that would like to have their name add to the card please post before Noon on Tuesday the 17th.
Thanks,
Barry
Barry, if you don't mind go ahead and put the UofL fishing team down. I know Mr. Williams lives just down the road from me in Fairdale. We wish him to a quick recovery.

Please put the Southern Kentucky Bassmasters on the card.
The card's a nice gesture on your part. Thanks.
Please put John Crase on the card I have roomed with Leon and tommy in the FLW tournaments and they are good friends and super people. And will be praying for him.
Sounds like good news. I saw Tim Horton on the Joe Thomas show fishing at Pickwick, and he seemed like a heck of a guy. Classy what he did by staying with his fellow angler, well done in deed.

Please pass on the wishes of the Staff of Fishin.com and the Jim Strader Radio Show on 84WHAS.
I'll be sending a card to the Williams family tomorrow. This is your last chance to be added to the card before I mail it.
For those that have not read this tread. Leon Williams from Fairdale KY was fishing in a Stren tournament and was injured during the first day of the competition.
Thanks,
Barry
