RE: Ky Collegiate Bass Anglers United

    ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

I'd love to have one, and I've been out of college for a very long time, but still have some eligability left if you want to recruit me!!

I'd even like to see the back of the shirt have the logos of all the schools on it. This would allow us to show support for all the schools, plus you would have less custom work, so you could order a bigger lot and get a better price. The profits could be split. Of course you would still need to have your own to use as your "uniforms" but for the rest of us??

I can see a wildcat fighting a "cardinal" fish...LOL.. just kidding.

Maybe you could reach out to Dawhares to also help get them sold through out the Bluegrass.

Lastly, don't forget us bigger built fishermen. I have a hard time finding shirts like this in my size. So make sure to go big too!!!

    Tight lines and God Bless

    Scott,

Great idea....i think that its defiantely one we should run with. Also, Kyle.....hell of an idea. It does seem like people are so concerned with tournament time, which they should be to some extent, that none of us really get a chance to party together. Headin somewhere we can get rowdy and then fish the next day sounds like a great idea. Let's try to actually get this goin....sounds like it could be a great time in the making.

    All very good ideas!

Anyone want to take charge of the shirt design? I'll come up with atleast one idea, but I'd like to see someone else provide another idea or two as well. Can you guys shoot me an email with school or club logos? Can I get them both in color and black/white?

    [email protected]

Another question...do we want white shirts? I don't think picking a solid blue or solid red shirt would be a good idea....opens the door for some bashing! Ha ha ha!

I'd be all up for a meeting of Ky Collegiate Anglers! Do we really want to go to Nashville??? I was thinking maybe Paducah or Calvert City so we can hit up Ky Lake the next day. The Anglers Inn there by the dam has a bar and occasionally Steve Cochran of ABA District 32 has a band that performs there (or atleast I think he does). I'd say with that relaxed atmosphere we'd have a blast! Of course, Paducah is just down the road if we need to see some dancing girls ;)

    Scott,

I will get you a few contacts of local shirt companies. We have used several different ones for the Fire Department. I will be working tomorrow and will send you some names and numbers.

    Why blue or red only??

I've never really understood that mentality??

Some of you are old enough to remember the Big 4 tournament that went on in Indy each year. UK, UL, IU, and ND all participated, and the KY school played the IN school, and each year they rotated. My best friend and I had planned to attend. We planned to go to a second hand store, or buy new if we had too, and buy a Blue sports jacket and a red one. We were then going to cut them in half, and sew them back together to show our support for both KY schools. My friend is a UK grad. Why is it that so many folks have to feel it is one or the other, and not both.

Now dpage, I know you were just kidding, but so many folks I've met are that way. I just don't get it.

BTW, I do like to tease folks though, especially about the coaches. When UK coaches do something stupid, they get it, the same as UL coaches. I had a lot of fun with Petrino looking for jobs....LOL. Heck, it has even been speculated that when Brooks is gone, Petrino will be first in line for the next interview. LOL

I say KY schools should all get our support.

RE: Dark Blue and Yellow too!

You gotta have Murray State in that equation too! They made it into the NCAA tournament this year!

The whole state of Kentucky is a powerhouse in any sport! Whether it be basketball, football, volleyball, or fishing, this state rules!

I'm glad to see all the positive feedback I've received in one afternoon! This is great! This t-shirt idea is a go!

RE: Dark Blue and Yellow too!

I graduated from Eastern in 2004 and just missed being a part of the club. I have fished with Drew and been around all the other guys from Eastern when I worked at The "Cain" Pole. All those guys are class acts and I think the T-shirt idea would be great.

I'm like the rest, make it white with all the school logos on it.
I'm in for at least two when they are ready.
