Bob,
You are a nicer guy than me. I tried to listen to his fish tale from afar and thought I had misunderstood him on the size of the smallies. But after about 200 miles and 30 hours on the boat and catching nothing but smallies who had there eyes too close to their tails, several Ky's and only 1 good Stiper, I had enough.
His story sounded a little like this - Go get em' boys for Stripers are practically jumping in the boat. Fished the last 3 days and had my limit in less than an hour each day, which included drive time to and from the cabin plus launch and park the truck as well. Culled 20 pounders each day for they are in the jumps the size of football fields on the main lake all the way from Indian to Beaver. Boats from everywhere coming from all directions to get in on the action. Jumps so violent that several boats ran thru the school just to see if the shad would go down for our arms were so tired from catching one right after another we needed to rest a minute. It did not work for stripers were busting at the outboards as they went by. I finally got tired of catching those 25 pounders that I fired up old Bessy and headed to the ramp leaving the school of busting Stripers behind for I had to catch up on some reading back at the cabin. This story versus my actual post is what this guy sounded like to the other guys that were believing in this bull crap.
