    Cumberland Bass Oct.28-29

Well here goes my first attempt at a report.
With water temps rnging from 60-63 by my temp gauge and rain, high winds, and air temps around 45 the fished changed for me every day.
Friday ..scooted around seaching and had a few spots on an A.C.Shiner and catching a Lg/M I looked at my partner and commented..well all we need is a smallie.Well someone up above had to have heard me because 2 casts later a brownie smashed it.. 3 ft. from the boat and the fish after waiting patiently for my partner to get the net out of the rod box and unfold it the 20 1/2 incher was in my clutches. We thought we were really onto something.
Well so much for that idea. Sat.first day of our club classic brought almost the same conditions to start with 35 mph winds predicted...so much for what main lake hopes I had. Started in Lilly and first 10 mins.brought high hopes w/2 keeper spots on 1/2 oz.all chart spinnerbait. That was short lived along with hopes of seeing another big smallie.around 11:30 pulled up on a point in Greasy and throwing A.C.Shiner again had a 14" spot slam it.10 mins.later and lots of excitement I had a limit and my partner had 3 before they were gone.We probably had 5 or 6 more come unbuttoned before we could get those.
Sunday 45 deg.at 5:00 with light and variable 5-10 mph.."LIARS" high of 65 and sunny .Wind not Quite as bad as b4 but still aggravating and yes, the pattern changed AGAIN.No fish on A.C. so went to the same points with a Shakey worm (Grn.Pump.)After 5000 bites and a few rock bass and tiny spots I did manage 2 keeper spots. That was it for the day.
All and all had a great time and managed to scrape up enough weight for the win. Thanks to those wild and crazy ones on Sat.that commited Shinercide.
Thanks to Elwood for his info even though I was'nt able to use it much, and thanks to that beautiful smallie that made my trip.Hope to see her or her relatives next time. :7 :7 :7

Pretty good report for your first attempt. I am sure that 20 1/2 was pretty sweet.

If you don't mind my asking, what size/color combination of AC Shiners were you using?
