"To Fish Dale"
Passing autumn memories are
Fields of goldenrod and blue aster
Winter, a new season, to be painted by the Master
Sunsets in lavender and scarlet
Mystifying like the eyes of a harlot
Snow-capped herons sit in frustration
The victims of a late migration
On the hillside, deer rustle the leaves
Unseen in silence they vanish like thieves
Across the water, the call of the loon carries far
Like on crisp, clear nights so does light of the north star
Some would like to seek comfort of a wood fire
Drink good Kentucky bourbon and retire
But there are some who keep warm and dry
To fish Dale with Foat-n-Fly
Bonefish

I am trying to keep the blood pumping until the temperatures reach that magical level. It will be good to get out this winter and catch some nich fish. I hope everyone has a great season.
Nicely put. As soon as I can knock down a deer that is what I will be looking forward to myself.
Very NICE
Hey Bonefish,
The way that was posted I thought you wrote that poem. If not, who is the author? He/she deserves full credit for a nice poem.

Tight lines and God Bless

Danny, my real name is Roy L. Nave. I write poetry from time to time. It keeps me sane.
Jim, it is for all the guys who fish to enjoy. Thanks for the thought.
Jim, I guess I should have signed my name to the poem, but it is fun to have a pin name so that no one knows your real name. My name is Roy L. Nave, the son of a great bass fisherman who took the time to take me fish at a very young age for which I eternally thankful.
Nicely Done!
