    RE: Congrats UL Hoops!!

Thanks Mark... that did have me wondering. It doesn't sound or I should say it didn't sound right. They also kept saying LW was a top five NAIA team. I could not find any rankings for this year yet, but I did find that last year Georgetown ended 11th, and LW ended 12th.

The best thing about last night was this: Last year a UK team against a NAIA team would win, as expected, but barely. This year they finished strong, and won by 40!! I saw a big difference in every player. My biggest dissappointment was Jared Carter. I felt he kind of looked a lot slower than I expected. But still, it was nice to see them beat, what looked like a high school team, the way they should have. In the past few years it would have been a close game.

The freshmen for UK got a lot of playing time, and I can't wait until I get to see them play a real college team... and I don't mean to dismiss LW. I'm sure at my best, I could not have made their team in basketball.

    Tight lines and God Bless

Danny, your Cats are going to be much better this year. Biggest difference is the new attitude and players liking each other and getting along. Last year you had guys on that team that couldn't stand one another, and that's not good. Good luck to your team this year, they should be really tough to beat.

Another UK fan happy that UofL won..but where is the defense! Michigan, Ohio St. and about 16 other teams I could name will/could kill Louisville. If they win out I'm not sure that they should play in the champioship when you have teams like Florida or maybe Auburn finishing a heck of a tougher schedule in the SEC that Lou. did. Just my thoughts no insult intended to the cards, Just play some freaking defense!

I agree to that, but you also have to remember that WVU has the number one rushing offense, I mean they are going to gain some yards on the 11th defense in the country, and probably on the number one defense. Don't get me wrong, I believe we have weaknesses on the d-side, but we are ALOT better than previous years on D, leading the country with sacks. This year we have the total package, I'm pumped about it, and a NC is definately possible when it never has been. We'll see what they do to improve against the knights next thursday...

Man it's amazing how much BS fishermen can dish. UofL can play with any team in the country right now. Can they beat an Ohio State or Michagan? L'yes they can! Just as sure as those teams could beat Louisville given the right turn of events during a game. And as far as defense goes yes West Virginia racked up some yards but they would do the same on Ohio State or Michigan. White and Slaten are two of the best out there and no defense is going to shut them down completely. The difference in last night's game was a defensive score and a special teams score which show it's not about one or two players in making a win. Louisville is solid from top to bottom and deserves the attention they are getting. If they run the table they deserve a shot at the title. They are as good or better as any SEC team out there. I just can't get over all of the sour grapes when a KY team does well. Well we all know now which school represents this state in football and it doesn't bleed blue! Go Cards! Go Big East!!!

Could UK be getting better in FB?

It seems UK's football players really like bass fishing.

They also like upsetting GA!!! The first win in 10 years against the Bulldogs.

Maybe finally UK is about to begin turning the corner, just as UL has done.

Nice to see both teams get big wins this weekend.

    Tight lines and God Bless

I don't think there is any questions that they have improved by leaps and bounds offensively. Now if they could just improve defensively they would ok at least. That defensive coordinator needs to be hung from the goal post by his nads. Dead last in the nation. yikes.

    Ohio State & Michigan

After watching Ohio St annihlate a 2-8 Illinois team by 17-10, while being outgained in total yards, then watching Michigan on their home field, survive a squeaker to powerhouse 3-7 Balls State, while giving up 26 points, I don't see how the Cards could possibly expect to line up against either team.

They should just forfiet to avoid embarrassment for the team and for their fans ;-)

    Go Cards!

    Great win for the Cards.

I was raised a fan of both Kentucky and Louisville.

I love 'em both although I pull for the Cards head to head.

I'll be pulling hard for the CATS to beat the DOGS this weekend.

I appreciate all the fans that root for any Ky team. That's my way. I love Georgetown, Cumberland, etc. Don't matter the sport. I want KENTUCKY teams to WIN. PERIOD.

I cannot get Howard Schnellenberger out of my mind -- we are on a collision course with the national championship, the only variable is time. Well the time is NOW.

    Go CARDS. Go CATS.

    Good fishin'

    John
