Rough River "Day on the Lake"

Never been to Rough but burning a vacation day tomorrow and heading down for the first time. Bought a map today at Wally World and plan on studying it tonight. Can anyone point me in the direction of the best ramp to launch from, preferrably on the North side of the lake and preferably with a courtesy dock, for I will be heading down thru Owensboro? No other information requested please for it is my "Day on the Lake" and I have from Sunset to Dark to locate and catch some fish. If I only had a camera crew following me around and some nice fancy boat to fish out of, then they could show my big behind "Stinking up the Joint" on ESPN on what used to be "Bass Saturday". Still beats a day at work.

if you want fish north fork go to the north fork ramp it has a courtesy dock and 2 ramps, one shallow ramp and one steep ramp. if you want fish the south fork put in at laurel ramp. both of those docks will give you 2 directions to go from off of the ramp. if you get desperate for some spots let me know i spent the winter on that lake marking brush and good structure. 270-401-9110

DEW and I put in at the State Dock. It has a great ramp, and has a courtesy dock, and no launch fee. LOL

We fished up Tules Creek.

If I had known you were doing this, I would have offerred you my TR-21, and would have brought our digital movie camera, and made our own day on the lake.

But you have to do your own cast count, and no padding the count!! LMAO

Let us know how your day on the lake went. I hope you don't make your assumption on Rough today. The lake has been extremely tough lately with the fluctuation of water and changing temps.

yeah Elwood give us the skinny. We want cast count like danny said and times, colors, cover and structure. The whole shebang man. Give up the info brother.

The "Skinny" is that I did not go. Had to go back to work last night around Midnight due to some "Issues Arose". Did not get back home until 3am this morning. Ended up sleeping in until 10am then headed to Ellis Park to bet some ponies and get a Breeders Cup racing form for tomorrow. Bet horses all day long and ended up coming out about $400 to the good. Could never get my big bets to come home but the savor tickets were paying well. Had $600 set aside to wager tomorrow so now it is an even $1000 to go for the homerun. Love a bunch of long shots on tomorrows card and it is the ABSOLUTE best day of racing all year and the handle will be incredible which makes for NICE payoffs. I will have to try Rough another day. I still have a boatload of vacation days to burn by year end so it may happen at a drop of a hat since "Sometimes it is good to be the boss" and I can take off anytime I want even though last night at midnight I was wishing I had a regular job that I could punch out at 5pm and leave behind until the next day.

If you really need a fix, I could make up some absolute lies and post them for you.
