Do you guys honestly believe this certain jig is what makes these guys so good? If so, Im sorry but you are wrong. If you are speaking of Keith Monson, the specific jig is not what catches his fish. Keep in mind that Keith travels around the country fishing different waters every week. He knows how to react when fish are doing one certain thing, or what not to do in some occasions. Given tha, Im sure its a good jig, but its the fisherman that makes the jig, the jig doesnt make the fisherman. The reason that some of these guys get so stuck on one jig is because of the feel factor. A weathered jig fisherman knows what Im talking about. Some jigs detect cover better than others. For me, there is one jig that I can fish. With any other jig, I just cant tell what my bait is doing as well. For ex., with this certain jig I can tell if I am pulling over rock, gravel, grass, wood, metal etc. I can tell the texture of the bottom with this jig. With any other jig or head style I cant do it as well. Same goes for the detection of bites. When you get so confident and comfortable with one certain type of jig, then thats the one that you need to throw. Just my 2 cents, take it as you wish.
