Nolin Lake Report!!

Well I did a small tournament saturday on Nolin. We put in at Wax. It was good and cold my eyes on the poles where freezing up with ice. The bite was a little slow until around 1 pm when my partner and I went into a small bay and fished one wall all the way back. We caught around fifty bass including several white bass on crank baits. I caught a slot fish and my partner caught a 15 1/2 bass. We fished several other similar areas on the way back to wax and He caught a slot and I caught 3 keepers. I caught the last keeper at 3:58pm just 2 minutes before the tournament ended. Of course all of the other club members were there to see me catch it. I did see a lot of the one finger salutes. I had a good day with a 7 lb. weigh in. I took first place and my partner and I shared the top boat pot. I caught my fish on a XPS shallow runner in shad, my partner used a shad rap in shad color. The other clubbers were using slower baits and had a rough time of it.:D

Speak for yourself about the slower baits you ole fart, we were fishing for real fish, not the retreads that you caught..LOL

Yes I will be there and I hope we go back to Nolin. I have done real good there the 2 times we fished there.
