Jason, I welcomed you on your thread, but did not know you were in Owensboro... we are practically neighbors. I live just about 45 miles south of you, outside of Central City. Love the country life.

One of my former customers over in Owensboro had a son named Jason. My customer managed a grocery store... hmmmmm, did your dad manage a store in Owensboro??

Feel free to come by your self. We have a couple of Younger guys without boats who I am sure would be happy to fish with you and maybe contribute to gasoline cost.
Breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday at 7 AM.
I am the cook. I am bringing Bacon, Eggs, Cheese, and Bread.
If you want something else bring it.
I will try to do Coffee As well.
I have a Brewer so I will bring it. NOT sure how many it will fix coffee for.

There is no limit unless we run out of rooms. BUT I am sure we can work something out for you on that as well at a Resort Close by.

HERE IS THE UPDATED SCHEDULE: Times are CENTRAL TIME not EASTERN

We will have a rigging seminar given by Stephen Headrick, Bob Coan and or Jim Dicken on Friday Night at 6PM at the Motel Kitchen.
10 to 20% off on Rods depending on price. Higher price higher discount. Deals on 12 Flies after the Seminar on Friday Night.
Breakfast is at 7AM.
At 8AM Bob will do an on the water Seminar at the Docks on how to Cast the Float and Fly if he is not guiding. If he is I will give the seminar if Stephen Headrick is unavailable.
At 9 AM we will have an optional Big Fish Tournament for those going out to Fish. $10.00 Entry Fee. Tournament is over at 3PM.
Saturday Night at 7PM we will have a seminar with Bob Coan on Rigging and you can ask questions about the Float and Fly as well.
Sunday Morning Breakfast at the Motel, by Jim Dicken 7AM.
At 8AM Bob or I will repeat the Casting Seminar and answer questions.
At 9 AM we will have a second tournament this one will last from 9AM to 2PM as I have to get out of Dodge to get back and do the Jim Strader Show at 6PM.
Stephen Headrick will be at the Dale Hollow One Stop on Sunday Night to answer any questions for those arriving on Sunday about rigging and fishing.

I will be down on Tuesday the 5th staying thru Sunday. We will be staying in Cabin #8 if anyone wants to drop by and give us your honey holes. My buddy Cliff, ie NETBOY, ie Chunknwind, will be down to fish Saturday and Sunday. We will both get in the tourney each day. Don't count us in for Breakfast for we will be on the water fishing before 7am each morning. We will come to the seminar at 7pm Saturday night to meet the fellas and put some ugly faces with names on the board. Just curious, is the big fish of the weekend going to establish the Fishin.com FNF World Record? Looking forward to it already.

I set a minimum of 7 Pounds to establish the World Record. We are however working on a gift for the largest fish of the weekend.. Something Each and EVERY Float and Flier will appreciate.
The Tournament does not start until 9AM.. if you want to fish it you will need to come to the dock and have your live well inspected.
This is a friendly tournament, Horse Creek is providing the scales and the weigh in boards etc.
It is dark until around 7AM so you may want to stick around for breakfast.. OR let me know and I will be getting ready at 6AM and may have food ready if you are not on the water already.

WELLLLLLL Officially nothing really starts until 6PM but I will be going out in the morning around 8 or 9 AM and I am sure some of the guys who are coming in on Thursday will be there to leave as soon as light breaks.

A friend and I are planning to come down for the float and fly weekend. We both live in Frankfort and we are on Eastern Standard time. Is Celina on Central time?

Boys i would give my left arm to be down there with you guys that weekend but unfortunatly work calls and then the ol anniversery thing happens on the ninth. Better keep the Ms happy or there may not be no fishin for a long time to come. I expext a full report when you all get back. Hope the fishin is good for all and maybe elwood will land that 12 pounder while you all are there. He may need some help from you guys if he does. Oxygen, first aid kit and hope someone knows CPR for if he catches it he may just need it. Good luck to all and have a safe and very enjoyable trip.

I believe I will be going out around 4-5am. My buddy will be down after work but he does not get off at Toyota in Georgetown until around 2am. My guess is that he will get to the cabin around 5am and sleep a couple of hours then fish until dark after he gets up. I like to fish hair jigs and black zara spooks before sunup and love to FNF just before sunup. Had a LOT of good fish the first half hour as daylight approaches and want to be on my spot ready by then.

I will happily donate some cash towards the gift if needed. This site has defineately made me a better fisherman and I have no problem helping out to sort of payback. I will even buy some jigs, bobbers and fish dope at the One Stop to add to the gift pool if needed. Just let me know.
