Give me a nice warm sunny day in early April when the grass is green and the trees are flowering. I love it when the brandford pears trees flower a few weeks before the dogwoods bloom. Spring is a great time.
But October days are nice too. Water is getting colder and the jet skies are gone off the lake and the lake is calmer. I love the fall colors. So my second favorite months are Oct and early Nov.
I hate cold weather when it comes to fishing. I would rather be warm than cold.

Good topic! I like LM in March and creek smallies in June or September. After my trip to Dale Hollow next month I hope to have a very favorable opinion about December:-)

LOL, ain't that the truth, o.k. I'll settle for meeting you down there I guess, LOL. :+
December + Dale Hollow + Smallies = VERY FAVORABLE OPINION
I love November. The lakes are being drawn down and the fish are fatening up for winter. Love throwing them crankbaits. The colder the water gets the bigger the fish are.
75+ fish days in Canada out of a canoe......you CANNOT beat it.
Lots of brown fish, some greenies, walleye, lakers, and my friend Neuman.
I get seriously spoiled by the fishing up there, and have NEVER been able to duplicate the size, quantity, or quality of the fish.

June. First really stable weather patterns and the post spawn bite's good everywhere. Try Barkley in mid June when the bass first move to the ledges. Whoowee.
