Dale Hollow this past weekend

Things seemed a little tough this weekend on Dale with the bluebird skies and great weather.. There seemed to be alot of boats out too.. Caught a few scattered here and there out on the main lake but nothing worth noting. Most of the action we had came off the back of our houseboat in Holly Creek. Caught one 4lber and had one about 6lbs get off right at the boat... Caught a few others back in Holly. All on shiners in about 20-28 ft of water. I did miss two 6lbers this weekend that about killed me, but a good weekend overall with the weather.

We were there for 4 days starting Thanksgiving and did pretty well. Caught several each day with Friday being the best. Didn't hit the 5lb mark but got several 21"+ fish in the 4 1/2 lb range and boated four to six 4lb+ fish each day and lots in the 3lb range. Mostly on gradually declining main lake banks and points (none on steep drops or in creek arms). Weather was awesome--unfortunately, that's over!
