CARPET REPAIR!!!!

If it is the same guy next door that did my seats I would not recommend him. Doug is very good on the carpet and boat restoration...and I recommend him with no problems....but the guy next door to him did my seats and they were no where near up to standard for what I expected.

well Dave,,yours was not up to his standards either but I understand your complaint. I agree with you. He did not do what you wanted. He got behind on time and did a basic job. I didn`t like it either.

That is usually my attitude.. WHY pay someoen to do what I can do with time and patience. NOT THIS TIME - boat is WAY too nice for me to fudge it all up - I think I have to check out the chap they are suggesting - PLUS I might go work in Shepardsville for Dr. Schaff? not certain - SO - I could kill a couple birds with one stone! AND get a nice job, not glue all over me - helped g-pa do his little bass tracker new deck... need a warm dry place to work!!! none here at this farm!

THANKS for the info, I am glad to hear of it. I actually may be working in Shepardsville in early Jan - and heading to Finchville for the next few days working - SO, This might pan out....

Good idea, perhaps I could find the material in the color I like - BUT I don't have a place (other than the dusty barn) to work on it - and I think that the mice adn rats and racoons - and useless cat might have contributed to that torn up area. I think that is one of the things I THINK I could do- but know I better let someoen else do - so it is stretched and flat and even... plus I lack free time.

Great advice and I am glad to hear that folks have confidence in him - I have a temper and though I measure twice and cut once - I can still be off - and then - I am out money, time, materials, etc...

I was sent here specifically to find you, I was told you would do a great job - the referring party just coudn't remember how to catch you. I am rather poor right now - bought WAY TOO MANY CALVES - and their needed eatings for the winter... and the baler broke (if you need any scrap metal) BUT I DO work in Finchville on Mon and Tues - am a veterinarian, so the hours are WAY LONG... BUT I will be glad to swing her by and let you look at her - I might only be able to do her in stages, as the top and rear decks are fine currently - though I KNOW that the weather & sun turning carpet is hard to match and best to let it all change together. RODENTS DESTROYED the cover in just a few weeks in the barn - so she has been sitting outside all this year, dang dead mouse clogged the bilge and she took on rain water - and FLOODED in MY DRIVE WAY overnight!! AHHAHHA... I have had a time with her this year. THANKS AGAIN... and I will give you a call this evening or tomorrow evening - hate to bother you in the evenings.

Ok Guys I agree with Dave. We`ve talked off here and I agree with him. When I was a carpet installer for 30 yrs I had a great reputation around Louisville as being one of the best. I never trusted nobodys work but mine. Dave is so right about hurting my reputation on here by trying to help my neighor out. I`ve seen him do great work but he screwed up on Daves seat. I will no longer have him do any work from on here. I can`t chance it. I`ve got other sites that have heard of me and got too much to lose.
