If you ever travel at 65mph for 5 minutes or more in 35 degree temps you will love the helmet. It protects your whole head and if your a non-boater it's a must! Another thing about it I really like is the fact that the helmet greatly reduces wind noise...especially helpful on those long runs.
Fishunter,
I didn't mean to dog the Fishedz mask. It's okay. In the cold, it's not the full coverage that a motorcycle helmet gives. Of course, it's not as heavy and bulky to store and doesn't take up space like a motorcycle helmet does either. I stick it under the driver's seat and forget about it, so that's nice.
Mine fogs up just a bit, regardless of what they say. I don't know if that's because of the balclava that I wear under it in the winter or what...maybe I'm just a foggy kind of dude. lol
Remind me next time you're over at Stoner and you can take mine for a test run.
Rub some dish washing liquid on the inside of the visor in a very thin layer, this should stop the fogging.
I'll try that Donger...
Some scuba shops may sell a product that you can apply to the inside of the mask to keep it from fogging up. When I used to scuba dive I just spit inside the face mask and rubbed the spit around and then washed it out. That helps to prevent the mask from fogging up on the inside.
It's amazing how far technology has come. Years ago only boat racers wore protective helments. Now we have regular fisherman racing acorss the water over 40 mph in the dead of winter. LOL Only a smallmouth bass will make people do things like this.
