Laurel lake?

I've not been down in a couple of weeks but I hear the Float n fly and silver buddies are really coming on.Talked to a friend other day said they had several smallmouth and more trout than you can imagine( i guess that goes along with fishing laurel in the winter). All off float n fly. Hoping to get down there this week if i can tag out and fill my freezer with some tasty venison. Let me know how you do. I believe they were fishing spruce and rogers creek. me and friend of mine fished about 2 weeks ago down there. Fished the river and had 6 keepers in about 3 hours. Honestly we had 3 fish over 5 lbs. The biggest was about a 5 1/2 largemouth. All were caught on jigs. Out of a 5 fish limit, we woulda had a 20+ bag. Too bad it wasnt during a tournament.
