    Pictures From Dale....

Fro some reason I couldn't download all of them to my place on the net. But here's what I have....

BJE getting strung up in the cabin on Friday afternoon. We were on the way out for a little run to Ky.

    Back at Horse Creek.

Would like to thank my partner BJE for taking the trip down. It was a fun little weekend. I had another buddy blow his engine Friday morning so he had to leave. He's actually the one that taught me the F-n-F on Dale Hollow. Wish he couldn't been there. Would also like to thank John Davis as well....

Bob Coan did an outstanding job the whole weekend in his seminars and his company. I listened a great deal.....
Jim also did a good job in getting this thing together. I hope the one in March is just as good.
Would like to thank Stephen Headrick for coming out to the firehouse and also for taking care of all the folks with the HUGE discounts at the One-Stop.
It was good to meet everyone. Loved the flytying. I have a feeling the next time we get together there'll be more than one vise at the table. There was one young man that really took it to heart. I see great things in his future as far as the F-n-F tying is concerned.
Dang we even had some school teachers amongst us.
BigGW and Wormin slipped out on us Sat morning. I imagine Cedar Creek was calling.
Lafayette Masters and the River Crew from Frankfort will be hearing from me. The Ky River needs the Fly A Floated in it. I have a few spots on mind on the Steel Branche pool.
Yeah the fishing was a little tough, but learning the lake takes time on the water. Some of us can't hire a guide everytime we make it down there so we do the best we can. The sharing of info was impecable. I hope someone went Sunday to where we were fishing on Saturday and caught that fishes brother.
Hope everyone had a safe trip home....

    See you there next time.

Oh and Elwood, if I didn't respect you or give a big crap I wouldn't rib you the way I do. Heck I wouldn't say anything at all.

So if you're mad at me for doing it....GOOD!!:7

    Thanks for the Pics!!!

    Thanks Billy, for the pics.

The crowd at the firehouse looked to be at least 15 counting the picture taker and the person at the front of the room.

That's at least as many as we get at Barren for the spring/summer get together. This was also only the first one, just think as it grows!!!!

No doubt you got a great participation and it certainly looks as fun as I've read about.

    Tight lines and God Bless

    RE: Pictures From Dale....

Thanks Billy for taking the time to document the weekend and making the extra effort to have pictures of everything posted here. Thanks to Jim D. for organizing the trip, for the breakfast and for getting Bob Coan and Stephen Headrick on board. I was glad to meet the rest of you all that went. The camaradarie and storytelling definitely made up for the slow bite, the frozen trolling motor and the frozen livewell. Billy, I think all the creative engineering we did makes us worthy of the title "Team McGiver".

Also, Billy had a good fish on on Friday which I did not get a picture of partially because I thought he would upgrade and partially because I was fighting a monster line loop (which I finally figured out how to avoid at 10:00 a.m Saturday), so I apologize that we don't have a picture up on here of Billy, that's my bad.

There were more than that. Some of them either didn't make it or weren't there when were took the pictures.

I'm not mad at you Red...

It sort of made me sound like I completely ignored all that was there. I assure you if I had known the meeting was 6pm Friday, we would have been there at 6pm Friday. We did all we could to get there when we did after finding out the time was Louisville time not Dale time. This was the only function I was planning on attending and had every intention of fishing the tourney before leaving but when I saw the water conditions around Horse plus was on such good fish 25 miles away, I chose not to fish the tourney. I did ask if it could be moved to launch to a location where everyone would have a better chance to land one over 21 but that request was denied for I guess several already had slips in Horse Creek. I would like to learn to tie a jig sometime and maybe we could share a boat one day. March will be much better fishing around Horse and I will be fishing south of First Island beginning mid January to the end of the season so that get together will be no problem for me fishing in the tourney. Hope to see you there.

RE: I sent you my pictures..

Hey Billy just wanted to thank you for the instructions. Santa has already been to Gander Mountain looking for a vise for Chris. He would not even let me use one of his flies Sunday, but with a lot of fish dope on mine I was able to make it slightly look like a real fly...lol See ya in March.
