I disagree, whether you like him or hate him you can't ignore the facts. Ike brings TV viewers which in turn creates more chance that a young anlger or new anlger will pick up a rod and start fishing. Everyone has their opinion, but you must get exposure for fishing, whether its good or bad, exposure is the key to growing. It's like the old saying regarding publicity, it doesn't matter the topic, just as long as they spell your name correct.

Just thought I'd toss my .02 in here. Ike is a whale of a fisherman...no doubt about it. He may be the cat's behind when seen in person...but I can't vouch for that. HOWEVER, his "TV persona" makes me want to retch. I have taken to recording all BassMaster shows on the DVR and every time he comes on the screen I hit the "skip" button and move on to the next fisherman. The "going Ike" schtick got old after the first time......
