My personal preference is the Shimano Sedona 750 FB. You can find them for around $45.00 to $50.00, or watch for one on e-bay as I did for around $40.00 shipping and all. I hope this helps.

Alright guys, my wife got me that Float n Fly rod for Christmas so now I need to get a good reel any suggestions? Can't wait to try Dale, I've never been there.

I use 4000 series reels on my F-n-F rods(10fters) on my smaller 7.5 I use the 2000-2500 series...

Ditto what Billy said. ;-)
My choice has been the Shimano Sahara. Got a 4000 Series, a 2500 Series, and a couple of 1000 series. All perform well.
I have an Okuma($70) on one and Quantum Inferno ($50) on the other, both work very well. I have also used a Quantum TI-30 which worked well also, but has only 6 ball bearings. I think the 10 ball bearing system is smoother than the 6, which is why I took off the TI-30. Any spinning reel with 10 ball bearings, wide spool but low profile (if I am saying that right) that will lay the line on the spool evenly across front to back with a good drag will work perfectly, no matter the manufacturer, just my opinion.
All of the reels above are great however for the low price end I love OKUMA and its tough to beet them. for a little more money the stradic in a 2500 is fantastic. but these other guys are the proffesionals when it comes to FNF i have only began.
buy you a shimano symetre 2500fi, you wont regret it!!!!!!!:9
Snapshot is the best for the float and fly. Others will work fine.. but..
The Snapshot has the trigger with the pin to hold the line so you do not have to take your gloves off. You can fish with cotton gloves with warmer on the back of the hand. (Blood vessels feeding the fingers are closest to the skin there) Your hands stay warm and you dont have to cut a finger out of the glove.
