by the way if you have a day you don't want to walk lang lake bear lake and two others are all hooked together and you can fish them, they had most of the smallmouth and walleye and lake trout.
I have been going to Canada for the first two weeks of bass season for 18 years. I go to Dog Lake north of Kingston, ONT. We catch 2 to 5 pound fish all day long, large and smallmouth, with a pike or two thrown in. On a good day we will get 75 to 100 each, on a bad day you will get 25 to 35 each. There are several places to stay if you would like more info. You can take your bass boat or rent them at some of the camps.
yeah i had to laugh when they told us the fishing was slow when we got to the cabin.I was expecting slow to be like 10-15 fish a day,
we didn't catch less than 50 or 60 even when a cold front came through and froze us,take clothes with you we wore shorts on tuesday and i had on my bibs wed morning and 40 degrees.
Amen on the temp changes, I have seen it in the high 30's at night and 55 during the day. I have been there when it was 70's at night and 90's during the day. Where we stay we can be back down to Lake Onterio and the 1000 Islands in about an hour. We fish Dog Lake for the largemouth in the weeds and then Loughborough Lake or 1000 Islands for the Smallmouth.
There is a really nice lodge on Loughborough Lake, where all you have to do is get there and they do the rest.
