Green River Lake

Tried Green River today (12/30) water temp around 46. Caught crappie near timber at about 15 feet on minnows-all short. Water is down, first time I've been able to use the courtesy dock. I was suprised to see the campground closed, I thought it was open year round. I did however enjoy seeing a dozen deer grazing on the roadside on my way out.

I was there 12-28 with the high blue skies, but did have some wind. Temps were around 47 all over. The lake was being pulled hard back to winter pool with the recent rains that brought it up. I managed to catch a 4.5 largemouth with a few short fish on crankbaits. Good luck to all in 2007 and be safe!;-)
