What do you mean by busted? Did you bend a blade or just spin out the replaceable core?

There is a place a little bit past lake cumberland outdoors called proper props. The place i work at sends props to them to get fixed all the time. They are good, and not to costly.

If you slung a blade AND IT HAS NOT BEEN WORKED you can send it back to Mercury for a FREE replacement. This is another reason I NEVER have a prop worked on. Once it is ground, polished, cupped or tampered with it voids the warranty. Some guys cup or alter the prop to gain 2-3 mile an hour. BUt is it worth the 400 - 500 hundred dollars it cost when you sling a blade. Once you have slung a blade it will never be right again....

No did not hit anything that I saw or felt it just started vibrating when I left the no wake zone and got alittle worse as the day went on, not bad but not normal, when I went out in the garge I just happen to look at the prop and one blade was ripped about half the way across with a 1/8 gap at the edge. This is the second time in 5 years that this has happened.

    RE: Busted Prop

When I bought the boat new and in just a couple of months had one of the blades start cracking from the inside, took it back to the dealer and he said he would get it fixed at no charge and did. I bought a new prop for a back up and used it till the other prop came back.
Put that prop back on and have used it for 5 years till Friday, this rip is on the same blade as the old one because you could tell were they ground down the welds from tha last repair.

    RE: Busted Prop

I doubt they will fix it, if one whole blade came off. At least that's what I was told. I had to replace mine and my buddy had to replace his. It's far too unsafe for them to weld one whole blade back on.
