This time last year I was so far in the Doghouse that I could not see the light of Day. Last year, my wife's friend and her daughter came over to visit my wife and son for the New Year's WEEKEND, the full WEEKEND, the WHOLE WEEKEND, with plans to leave on Monday after the holiday. With this in the works, I went to Dale Hollow to fish for a few days with my buddy Cliff. We fished all day on the 31st, Saturday, and I called her around 7pm to check in and wish her a Happy New Years for with no phone in the cabin and no cell service within 20 miles for me, it would be the last time I talked to her until I was on my way back the next afternoon. I find out that her friend had left around 5pm to go be with her husband on New Years Eve. I tell her this was NOT what was planned and needless to say somehow it became all my fault since I was fishing at Dale Hollow and my wife was now by herself on New Years Eve so into the Doghouse I went. Oh well, I guess if I have to be put in the doghouse, I can find no better reason than chasing the 12 pounders at Dale Hollow.

PS - This year I was home and she got New Years Eve kisses on EST and CST just to be safe. Next year, we will wait and see.

One winning Powerball ticket away from moving the Doghouse and regular house to Dale to take up residency. Now if I can just figure out which 6 numbers to play in tomorrow nights drawing I can FNF daily if I wish, and I DO WISH!!!!
