I have the rod Fishgurl is talking about. Last I checked it was $30 + shipping if ordered online. It's $40 if you buy it at a store location. I have used mine once (2 days of fishing at Dale Hollow) and thought it performed very well. I purchased the 8'6" model. If you buy one make sure you buy the 9'6" rod and I would suggest buying the balancing kit that screws on the butt of the rod.

Read on this board from past months and you'll obtain a wealth of knowledge and info on how to fish the FNF... The casting is tough to figure out at first. After the first 30 minutes I got the hang of it pretty good. One day 2 I felt very comfortable.

First time you try the FNF keep it simple. Also, the next time I go I plan to take a 6'6" spinning rod and try a slip bobber. I know there are lot of FNF gurus on this board who shun the slip bobber method but I think it would work well, especially if you needed to set a leader at 14-16 feet... Good luck to you. I have a 10' All Pro that I can cast with a leader up to 17 feet and a tad bit over. It is very difficult but it can be done. A little dangerous at times for the jig does tick an ear lobe from time to time but it can be done. Key to casting with that long of a leader is to make sure there is no slack between your jig and bobber with the rod tip in front of you almost touching the water, then make a quick snapping motion straight up and back so the rod is loading up on the back cast and then it uncoils the jig behind you. Once you hear the jig hit the water the rest is a normal FNF cast, release and away she goes. The hardest part is the back swing with that long of a leader. If you have slack between you bobber and jig to start the cast it will never work. The slack will not allow your rod to load up on the back cast and that is the key to casting with a LONG leader. Need absolutely no slack between jig and bobber to start. This cast is easier standing up but I can do it sitting down but you really load up the rod tip going back and the jig is flying right past your head on the back swing. I have been hit a time or two and even stuck it in my ear lobe one time, which is called a FREE PIERCING by the way. Safety Glasses are an option or your helmet that you use when driving can be used as well. Not me though for it adds a little excitement of dodging the jig on the back cast.
