I found out about the big sinker & snap plug knocker technique about 3 years ago. It really works that's for sure. Whenever I'm fishing a Silver Buddy or Little George I keep a homemade plug knocker in my pocket. It will get your bait back 99% of the time! Well worth the $$$ to make them... The key is getting directly over top of the snagged lure before dropping the sinker/snap.
