    RE: Right you are..

i caught 6 sm yesterday that went 25lbs & 9ozs -the 5 best were 22 lbs 3 ozs . i believe the F&F has been blown up as the cure all for s.m. bass fishing, not all sm do the same thing at the same time . i have fished for smallmouth for over thirty years & i have caught plenty of sm on the F&F but i stand by what i said it is not agood method for me in tournaments. each year is different & you have to figure out what they want & where they are at,the alewives in our area lakes have had a impact on sm bass locations. so keep throwing that fly & believe that all the sm in the lake are at that depth you have the fly at, this year is agood example of that , if you enjoy F&F fishing thats fine but you will not win many tournaments with it. jmho

Well I made it to C-land today but my uncle and I had no luck, everyone else had fish. My uncles buddy ended up catching 7 smallmouth with the best being around 4 and the other around 3. He lost to other nice ones at the boat. I got pics of the two biggest ones. The frostbite was out of Jamestown they also weighed in some nice smallies. The weather was cloudy, windy, and rainy all day. That was my first time Bass fishing at C-land, even though I didnt hook one Im looking forward to going back.
