I have found a way to put line on a spinning reel that almost elimanites any line twist. It takes a little more time to spool up a reel but the extra effort is worth it. I go outside into the garage and lay my reel on the work bench and open the bail. Grab the line and take off walking in a straight line across the yard. When I get to the end I stop and go back to the reel and cut the line off and throw away the old line. Tie the new line on to the reel and take off walking across the yard. Once you get to the spot where you stopped earlier take a few more steps to allow for some extra line. Then cut the line from the payoff spool. Go back to the reel and start reeling. You will see the line coming across the ground and the coils will be uncoiling. Sounds like alot of trouble but it only takes a couple of minutes to do this and the extra effort will save you time with line twist headaches.
