Larry, welcome to the board. That smallmouth is a bute. I'm headin down to Dale next weekend and I hope to get one just like it on the fly. Cliff
Welcome Phoenix, That is an absolutly fine looking fish! Would you care to share some details as to when ,how and on what?:-) elnut will be slobbering when he see's that girl....again welcome Joe G
Funny you mention seeing that fish Joe, for I have seen that fish. It was February 2005 and Chunknwind was with me as I fought one at least that size on the FNF. She was my "Fish of a Lifetime" and I can still tell you everything about the fight. I know the EXACT spot that I cast to hook her and make a cast at this spot every time I go to Dale. I even have the jig that has a hook about as straight as a string that the big girl left me as a gift.
Speaking of Chunknwind, he will be getting his brand new 2007 Triton ride next friday and off to Dale we will go to break her in plus catch that elusive 12 pounder. I am excited and it is not even my boat.
Gl to you guys next weekend at Dale get a biggun--And wtg go on that new boat Chunknwind enjoy it........:)
Thanks Biggw, if I knew how hard it would be to wait for this thing to be built I probably would have just bought an 06 and been done with it. Hopefully, Elnuts and I can get on a few fish and break her in right.:-)

Whew! just got through typing a whole page about my catch, and the dang board timed out and i lost it all, didn't know it would do that, says you only get 30 min or it times out. Ill try to get it on later.
Larry,
Not sure what browser you are using, but that has happened to me several times using IE. Most of the time your typing will be stored in cache memory on your machine. If you hit the back button you can often get back to the typed message. Then all you have to do is copy and paste it over into a word prosessor, or just have it in your RAM, then go back to the original messsage, hit reply, and they paste from your memory back into the reply field.
Just a thought for the future for you.
Good luck,
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
Thanks Danny, that will help. May be better to start in word then paste it if its gonna be a longwinded thing huh!
Dandy of a fish Phoenix.
Wow nice brown fish there ((WTG))) MAN :) Maybe one of these days i will get one of them girls lol
Does that nickname have a story behind it? Such as your 8lber, perhaps you had given up fishing, sold everything, then just like the phoenix rising from the ashes, you took fishing back up, and on your first trip, you landed that beauty?
Welcome to the board, hope to hear errrrrr.... read some great fishing stories.
Tight lines and God Bless
Danny
