Western Mich. or Northrn Wisonsin fishing

I hoping someone could suggest a northwoods adventure. I'm looking to take my 12 son year up north for some walleye and smallmouth fishing. We've never been up there, so any suggestions would be appreciated.Probably need a cabin, or camping site. We have camped and canoed before. Want to drive, how long from Lexington? What would it be like late May early June? thanks Doug

I am from Northern Wisconsin. There are a lot of great areas to fish walleye, large mouth and small mouth up here. I'd be happy to help any way I can.
