    Made in USA reels

Has anyone purchased and used any of the Ardent line of reels yet. Just curious as to whether they are comparable in quality to the Shimano line?

    thanks,

Not yet, but they have a 3 year warrantee. That looks good. From what I've read, these are hi-performance reels. And am real interested.
Let me know if you find a good deal on them.

    RE: Made in USA reels

I have two of them and so far I love them. I will be letting anyone who wants to try one out do so at my ABA tournaments. This reel will have line on it so you will be able to use it during the tournament.
If more than one person wants to try it, I will have a drawing.
Otherwise you will have to wait until the next tournament.
This only goes for the ABA district 87 tournaments. Next one is Jan 27 Lake Cumberland, we are going out of Jamestown.
    Thank you,

    RE: Made in USA reels

These reels are designed by fisherman and yes made 100% in the USA. No parts are imported. They have 10 ABEC5 ball bearings, even bearings in the handle turns. I have used these reels since October and have found them to out cast my curdo's by 40-50 feet. They are
a high tech reel with out the look pretty features. The make a really great crankbait reel. Marty ask me to also use one at the next district 33 tournament, I have 5 of them and you can see the differenct. They are avalaible at BPS or on line at
WWW.Arndentreels.com. If you have any questions please ask..

    RE: Made in USA reels

Something else I may mention, that if any one is an ABA member and purchases an Ardent reel, they are eligeble to win $500.00 each month. Plus at the nationals 5 anglers will win 1000.00 each. (you do not have to be present to win). All you must do is send in your warranty card with your ABA number on it and you will be entered into a drawing each month to win the money. Just something to think about...Thanks Gary:-)

    RE: Made in USA reels

Just makes me want to go out and buy another Quantum 1310 baitcaster, IMHO I am just as happy using one of these reels to fish with. I can't see throwing away 210.00 and up on some fishing reel to fish with when mine do such an outstanding job for the fishing I do... Tournaments and peasure fishing they do the job they are intended to do,......Catch fish...... Need I say more....:P

    RE: Made in USA reels

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for the responses. Gary I might take you up on that. Being on the pro staff you should suggest to Ardent that they have some sort of trade in. This would help in justifying the cost to the average fisherman like myself. It is hard to tink of just setting my $2500 in Shimanos to the side to spend another $3000 to replace. I do like the MADE IN USA thought. Im pretty sick and f'n tired of watching every dime I spend going to China, Japan, Korea, India, Pakistan, etc.

    Big E,
Hell ya we will. As long as work does not interfere. Go ahead and sign us up as soon as possibel so we do not end being the 97th boat.

    Later Guys,
    Be safe ont he water,
    Marty
