Fished Barren yesterday pretty much all day and had a decent day, seeing as how it's mid January. The weather was perfect, overcast and in the 60's, no rain. Water temps I fished were around 47, and the water was stained to muddy. Level had risen several feet since last weekend. Fished the local Sunday big fish and C and R'd a decent limit of fish. Best fish was a 3.82 LM in chocolate milk colored water. Everything on crankbaits.
After the T was over at 1:00 me and Baby Huey went over to Ranger Bob's and choked down a bite, then went back out and fished till dusk. Wasn't able to duplicate the earlier success, we only had one shortie apiece.
It's supposed to get cold, and I'm figuring winter's finally gonna set in now. When the water gets down to the low 40's I'll be back to fishing for just a few bites a day.
