Barren & Nolin

What's the water color at Barren or Nolin? I know they are both up over winter pool. I've set in the house for 2 weekends now & need to go crappie fishin':-)

I don't know about barren but Nolin was chocolate milk down to about red rock and really stained from there down.

DevilsHorse reported on his fishing trip, and he mentioned the lake being very muddy... or at least the term "chocolate milk" was used.

I fished around the dam at Barren on Saturday and it was stained but not what I would call muddy.

Barren was good color Sunday down to just below Walnut Creek. When you made the turn towards 31E bridge you hit dingy h2o. Crossed the dam on Tuesday and it was stained but not muddy like it was last weekend.

Last Sunday the dam area wasn't bad at all. More stained after the Hogback/Mason Island cut thru. Heavily stained in Skaggs at the Narrows.
