Well I guess I'm on the right track, it just seemed the 3/0 EWG was a little much for the tube. It seemed to push through right at the start of the skirt. I wasn't aware of the larger sized HSB tubes. I will be looking for them when the Cabin opens up. Thanks again. Do you fish your tubes on a tube jig head with the weight inside the tube, and what advantages/disadvantages does rigging like that have over a normal texas rig?

I will fish them both ways...with a jig head in the tube and Texas rigged. I find normally the Texas rig works fine but there are times when the fish want that tube right along the bottom so I will use the tube jig head at that time. Also, here is a trick you might try if you have not tried it...use a pro series Slider Head on the tube. The triangle shaped head will give the tube more action on the fall..fish it with the wieght on the outside of the tube and texpose the hook.
