Any one have any info on the boat show in Lexington in a couple of weeks. Any events going on, got the day off and thought it might be worth checking out. I know I seen that Dave is going to be set up. Being my first time to one of these events what can I expect. Good Deals or just a lot of goodies to look at. Thanks ahead of time.

Not everything that gets wet is pretty, but sometimes it gets pretty wet.
Looking forward to seeing you there again this year Billy. If you can make it on Thursday evening you can get a pic of me wearing a really stupid looking hat that one of the guys on the bbc board got for Christmas during my seminar. Those guys made a bet with me that I would not wear it during a show seminar...I am going to win that bet even if it does make me look like an idiot because the money they are putting out to have me wear the hat is going to be donated to the Trooper Island fund to pay for under privledged and problem kids to attend the Trooper Island camp this coming summer.
The monies from my bet with them coupled with money they raised for the same cause through a crankbait raffle they held on the internet site will be presented to the KSP after my seminar...right now the total is somewhere around 2500.00.
The Lex. boat show was better last year than it had been for a few years. There was much more about fishing than in the last few years. I haven't heard who the guest speakers are, but last year there was Kevin Van Dam, Rick Clunn, and of course Dave who showed me a neat technique with double jerk baits which is a lot of fun. (I think it was Dave who showed me that) It was good to see the hog trough back instead of a lumberjack exhibition.
Hey Dave, I'll take odds that I'm the only one you will have seen at both the Lexington and Murray boat show.
Hey Dave, what time are you planning to be on site Thursday evening? I work here at Lexington Convention Center so it will be easy to walk down and meet you.
I spoke with the Lex Boat Show promoter earlier this week about who will be doing the fishing seminars. At that time he had no idea. I'll keep y'all posted if/when I find out. Boat Show times are:
Thursday, Feb. 1: 2P-10P
Friday, Feb 2: 2P-10P
Saturday, Feb 3: 10A-10P
Sunday, Feb. 4: 10A-5P
I also agree with JoeB about the 2006 show being better than past shows in Lex. Having the seminars and hog trough makes it more enjoyable for fishermen.
Hope to see some of you down here.

Yeah that was me with the double jerk bait....it was a hit at all the shows I worked last year. It worked great on a local tv show in which I was the guest last summer...at least I caught a number of doubles on it on camera. I was told it really went over good on the tape too but I have not seen it yet.
Brent: I expect you are right for sure...I was really surprised to see you in Murray..lol.
Scott
I will be there the entire show, every day. I don't have my seminar times yet either nor do I know who else will be there for seminars. If you come by the Hawg Trough you should find me unless I am on a break wondering around.
Dave
Thanks for the info guys. I plan on coming down on that Saturday. Look forward to seeing everthing and maybe dropping by Dave's and Matts booths. Be good to put a name with a face. Wish they were advertising a little more though. Seems like they are not putting out much info just yet for such a big event. Look forward to attending.
Where is the show located? Price? Parking? Dates? Times?
