Smithland Pool

I'm gonna be fishin Smithland Pool next weekend 6/24. Lookin for some help if anyone cares to assist. Wonderin if I should concentrate on the creeks or stick with the river for largemouth bass.

GO TO THE BACK OF THE CREEKS!! Large numbers of bass have been caught recently and of large size also on a recent tourney my partner and I caught 2 over 4lbs and he swung and missed on one I would say was 6+ lbs, if it rains or cloudy throw top water baits and you'll catch 'em

Been quite awhile since I've fish Smithland, but fished there several times about this time of year. I'd probably want to fish the coves mainly fishing secondary points. There are also some island out on main part of river that have channels cut thru them that would be good.

My top techniques for the river have been spinnerbaits and C-rig. You'll want to fish structure but use a slow presentation.
