Okay... dagnabit, I need to go fishin'!!! Can't make a long trip anywhere also, and wanna wait for the warmer weather before getting the boat out, wish I could just get my own (the one I use now is a "family" boat - more rec. than fishin'), then I could just go when I wanna! LOL! When are water levels expected to get lower, what's the best level?

I don't know the exact elevation, I just know when I see the rock flats exposed, it's time to go fishin' !!! I drive across the 2nd street bridge everyday to go to work and those flats haven't been exposed in weeks! The way the rain keeps falling who knows when the water will go down!

Ever heard of the Jefferson County Sportsmans Club ?? They have a nice little lake there that's fun to fish. It's not too far out of the Louisville area and it's always peaceful and relaxing to fish. I joined last year and have really enjoyed it!

Hadn't heard of it... they got a website I could check out and find out how to join?

Is there a webcam or anything you know of that shows the flats? I'll look around and see what I can find...

when judging the water level there i have heard from a freind that the upper and lower gauge doesnt make that much of a differance it is the amount of D A M that they are running. we usually go when it is 30ft or lower.i have been fishing there for about a year and a half and its a great place to fish almost all year round. i never knew there was a phone number i thought he got the info off the web.

    Re: Falls of the Ohio

Bass I fished those areas for a long time farm ponds ,creek and river bottoms but the last time I was out there everything is so grown up I think alot of the areas I used to go to I probly can't get to anymore . The KOA down 44east gives you some acsess to salt river and ff creek great for canoe!!fun bassin there. But gettin back to the falls I fish all year round and catch fish. I've fished it for probly 40 of my 43 years! And still don't know it.A work in progress I guess. The river provides a challenge in basically all spieces of fish not to mention the river constantly going up and down. It all boils down to hey nice fish or who is eating tonite.Right now I'm eatin sauger. a little salty I guess I got to get use to it. gettin late if you want to hook up at the falls I 'm down every week. show ya some fish that will make your arm hurt..snaggin starts in a week or so.
