I believe I said it would be cheaper not that they were expensive. I understand now what the purpose of the Keel Gard is and that is to take the blunt force and spread it out. I was just looking at them as a source of protection not as a source of absorbing blunt force. I have heard of alot of guys having problems with the keel guards coming off. I don't know about everyone else but I can't afford to throw a $150.00 around everytime one came off. That saying if it would even come off. I guess I would just be playing a guessing game on how long it would stay on.
Thanks to everyone for the replies and comments.
Brad
