Check your Internet Options for your security and privacy settings. You may have them too high and your computer is rejecting the cookies. I used to have this problem until I changed the settings to MEDIUM.

    Hpoe this helps.

Yes - and I have not changed my settings from what I had with the old board.

I only accept cookies for the time that the browser window is open and then they are cleared when the browser is closed. Therefore, if I close the browser, I have always had to re-login. But now, it seems as if I get logged out at some point even though my browser has been open the entire time.

That being said, I do seem to remember getting a notice from the old board saying that the session had expired, so maybe that's what's happening...without the notice.

    I use Firefox, btw.

I could, but I do not use IE.

It really doesn't bother me anyway, I was just responding that I noticed it as well.

I recommended it as a diognostic. If MHall is getting the same issue while using IE then it would be moot.

There is a time at which the session expires but I haven't had the session expire on me yet.

Clear your cache and delete all your cookies. You will have to enter passwrds and account names for all of you "remember me" places that you go on the web, but just once. I have encountered this several times before and this has always corrected the problem. Go to the Tools tab at the top of the page, click the Internet Options chopice and then choose clear cache and delete cookies. Close Internet page and then start all over.

This is happening to me, too, but only on Firefox. I logged into the board a while ago using IE, read a few posts, went away and came back an hour or so later, clicked on Reply and it took me right in. If I do the same thing on Firefox, I have to log back in.

I forgot to mention that I've checked my Firefox browser settings, and the only one I see that might affect this is under the Privacy tab. You can set the browser to either clear private data when you close Firefox, or to prompt you before clearing it, then you can tell it what data to clear. I have mine set to prompt me, and I'm not getting prompted, and none of the other data is going away, so I don't think it's a browser setting. This is on Firefox version 2.0.0.1.
