    Cumberland BFL

    Hey Guys and Gals,

Whose planning on fishing the BFL on Cumberland March 3rd? Do you think they will cancel and move it to another lake or stay there? I am just curious as to what everyone thinks.

I'm signed up. I have been told that you can still use the ramp at Conley at the level they are going for. I don't think that BFL will move it as long as the ramp is useable.
    Will be interesting to see.

Come on guys the lake is not going to be drained !!!!! It is only going down 9 more feet. I have seen it a lot lower in winters past. The only thing that has happened different is the past three years we have gotten a large rainfall in Jan and filled it back up. Of course if everyone keeps thinking like that the lake will be less crowded for us locals !!!! Keep on telling everyone how bad it is !!!! Heck I heard one guy say you would be able to wade across at Burnside Island!!

I for one am not worried about it. I realize that the lake will still have plenty of water in it. But I do know that there are SOME ramps that will not be useable. I did say that I have been told that Conley will be useable and due to that fact I have serious doubts that the BFL will change anything.
I have heard some cazy stuff too. I don't think it will be a big deal. I agree with you. I hope the lake is less crowded also!!! More water for the rest of us to fish on.

More water to fish, but less spaces to park. I've seen trucks parked all the way to the top of hill at pumpkin creek ramp..

I noticed you are from Taylorsville, KY. Where and when did you buy your Z20, if you do not mind me asking? Thanks, James.

I see your point about the parking. All of the fisherman that would normaly be spread out at different ramps are all going to be using the few useable ones left.

Need to look at the oppurtunities here.

Just think about a shuttle service with a couple of golf carts that you can run at the remaining ramps. With such a long walk to and from the truck a fellow ought to make a couple hundred dollars a day just taking those boaters to their tow vehicles.
Would you pay $3 to $5 not to walk that 1mile to the truck after a day on the lake ?

And now all those boater are focused on only a few ramps making the oppurtunity even better.

All my buds dropped out because the BFL regional conflicts with the Renegade circuit fish off. I'm struggling with it myself. I've already signed up and committed to be Rude's guaranteed non boater at Cumberland, but I really want to fish Renegade this year.

Relax man, I wont bail on you for Cumberland. I don't work like that. If I do well It's possible I could stick it out as a rider for all of them, but I'm not all that big on fishing off the back, and the Renegade circuit is in my back yard. If I bail after the C, we'll find you someone for the rest of them. I'm going to find out who the rider was for my buddy that withdrew and see if that person's looking. Either way, I ain't gonna leave you high and dry.
