Am I Crazy

I have really had the itch to fish lately, but my calendar is totally crammed. I work right across the river from the falls of the Ohio and thought maybe I could go ahead and travel the 2 minutes across the bridge to fish there after work for a half hour. I have a nice pair of neoprene waders that would keep my legs warm I used to trout fish.

Obviously I would need to be very careful and definitely wear a Life Jacket (just in case), but is there an opportunity to catch any fish wading that area this time of year.

I have never been there, but it seems like it might be an option and it is so close. Or should I just be reasonable and explore the area this summer when the water is warmer and not as dangerous from a temperature perspective.

I don't know anything about that area, but if there is water there and fish swimming in it, there's always an opportunity to catch em!, but you gotta get your line wet! Remember, the time spent fishin is not deducted from mans allotted time here on earth. Good luck !

Jackster, I went over there this past Sat. b/c I'm having the same unbearable itch (too many cold nights watching fishin shows off the DVR) and I live close to & work in downtown Louisville. Thought I'd just walk around and see what, if any, other people where doing. It was so cold (the wind!!!) I got out of the truck and walked about 60 feet, turned around and went right back to the truck! I wasn't really dressed for the temps. as the morning really wasn't too bad. But by late afternoon it was freezing! If you go, let us know how it went... I'll bundle up next time and get down there!

Jackster,I fish the falls all year round and know it fairly well! there is some info.in the archives pg. 21 #5150 about the falls if this helps ...What are you fishin for?Any ?'s you have I'd be glad to help..as for the cold it's better to have and take off than not have to put on! you got half of it licked with those chest waders...chuck
