I was reading a Indiana fishing magizine, last fall, it spoke of the "Crawdad Hole, and the Rock Pile"
Anyone know of those two spots on Geist? I think the Crawdad Hole is on the north end ,left of the two islands.
Is the Rock Pile back in the "wildlife posted area" north of the resturant?
Thanks for any help
Junior

you know....that place with a rock in the middle with 30ft of water.
Here are a few hot spots Geist, Weeds and Docks!! I do very well on both.
I don't think anyone on the site will tell you exactly where any spot is but there are big rock piles in about 25-30 ft of water. I've never fished them very thoroughly but have seen many boats parked out there for hours on end so it must be a good spot. Just get out in the middle and start looking for them on your graph. To narrow it down a little, they're between the fall creek bridge and the dam. If I told you any more than that someone on the site might get mad.
The Homeland security folks we taking pictures about 2 years ago spring or fall. Appears there was a 70 boat tournament at Giest if you count the boat trailers. As you zoom around the lake you can see where everbody is. Our friends in washington dc could probably read the make and model of the rods and reels being used and the baits being thrown.
After seeing this I'll try to keep the casting deck a liitle neater.

I couldn't get the link to work. Any trick to it?
Just go to google.com and click on maps then the satellite
it would be great if you can provides the exact url to the page that you were looking at. I looked at google map today and yes, the parking lot appeared to be full but I only see about 10 bass boats. That's hardly see where everybody is. The ones that I could see were at some of the most obvious places that anybody could have parked on.The Homeland security folks we taking pictures about 2 years ago spring or fall. THANK YOU,,, for the web site.
If you go to the 1st cut (cove) past the resturant, going towards the dam. You can see the "rock piles" looks like three total.
The Indiana fishing artical spoke of the rock pile and crawdad hole. The way the artical was written (and the web site shows it, the crawdad hole is across from the islands. What looks as if contractors had built a road across a cove to build a large house on a point). It also shows where they cut out a natural bank to conect that cove to the lake. Giving access to about 8 homes to the lake. (Crawdad hole) as the artical explaind the location.
Again thank for the site it shows humps, weed lines, and where folks are fishing.
If you zoom all the way in, and then go all along the lake I found 65 of the 70 boats. Need to look close to distinguish from docks and other stuff. but there all there.
